"My best memory is one that I get to experience every spring: the weather is warming up, the new foals are out in the fields, the spring race meet at Keeneland is underway, the dogwoods are blooming...there is no other place on earth I would rather be than right here." - Charles Koch

"My Old Kentucky Home" is the state song of Kentucky. It is about tradition, and family, and deep pride
and love for home. This is what the song means to us.

Neighbors and Family:

The pastoral life of Paris County is evident along with the togetherness of our community, which can be seen at fairs & celebrations, such as our honoring Homer Royce with former Mayor Kiser. Unfortunately, this kind of life and caring for one's neighbors is gone from many places.

Living so close to Lexington gives us access to upscale and modern shopping such as the Hamburg Pavilion and big box retailers, but we come back to an unrushed setting and home life in our choice of housing options - from owning a multi acre farm for horses, golf course homes, traditional subdivisions, or a house in downtown Paris where we can walk to church and local shops!

School Variety - Private and Public Schools:

Our access to Lexington gives us access to premier preparatory schools such as The Sayre School, Lexington Christian Academy, and Lexington Catholic High School, along with local St. Mary's Catholic School. We are also close to the University of Kentucky and its sporting events and entertainment and cultural programs - the university is part of the NCAA Southeastern Conference which is nationally known, and UK entertains teams from the University of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and many other SEC schools. Other colleges, such as Transylvania University are also in Lexington.
